Workshop Description
These workshops combine didactic lectures, comprehensive videos, case discussions, hands on cadaveric dissections. Each workshop will have a full session on the benefits of neoadjuvant therapy, its appropriate use, patient selection criteria, monitoring response, surgical techniques and outcomes. Course faculty include surgeons from hospitals such as Princess Margaret, Royal York Regional Health, North York, Trillium, Ottawa, and London Health Science Center.
Workshop Objectives
Following the completion of this program participants will be able to:
– Build awareness and use in of neoadjuvant therapy and oncoplastic surgery to optimize BCS in breast cancer across Canada
– Identify use of neoadjuvant chemotherapy as an integral part of optimal surgical management for breast cancer
